Quando Rondo Faces Federal Drug Charges and Custody Issues

Quando Rondo, the rapper, finds himself in deeper legal trouble after being taken into custody early Saturday on suspicion of federal drug charges, a development confirmed by the FBI. The artist, known for a history of legal entanglements, now faces additional complications as he is currently under federal custody hold, exacerbating existing legal issues.

Previous Charges and Indictment

In June, Quando Rondo was among 19 individuals charged with 49 counts of drug offences, gang membership, and unlawful cell phone use in Chatham County, Georgia, as outlined in a detailed indictment. The rapper, identified as the leader of the Rollin’ 60s gang in Georgia, faced accusations related to drug sales violating the state’s Controlled Substances Act. The charges encompassed drug trafficking offences involving substances such as cocaine, fentanyl, hydrocodone, and M30 pills, with alleged drug deals facilitated through jail phones.

Street Gang Terrorism Act Violation

As the alleged manager of the Rollin’ 60s, Quando Rondo was also charged with violating the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act. Responding to the severity of the accusations, the Chatham County District Attorney sought restrictions on the rapper’s live appearances in the county and Savannah until the trial concluded.

Current Custody Status

Quando Rondo, previously free on a $100,000 bond, now finds himself in federal custody. The recent arrest follows a car accident in July that nearly resulted in incarceration. Reports indicated that Narcan was required to revive the rapper after an alleged overdose on benzodiazepines. Despite being granted additional freedom by a judge, the recent arrest has led to Quando Rondo being held without bond at the Chatham County Jail.

Implications of the Arrest

The arrest raises concerns about the rapper’s legal standing and potential implications for the ongoing legal battles he faces. With a track record of legal troubles, Quando Rondo’s current situation adds another layer of complexity to his legal woes.
