According to the Inquirer, Pennsylvania‘s Whole-Home Repairs program helps homeowners fix their homes. The program was created with money from the government to help people fix big problems like leaky roofs and broken windows. But, the program doesn’t have enough money to help everyone who needs it. Almost 18,000 people are waiting for help because there isn’t enough money.
This means thousands of families are in danger of losing their homes. Some counties have already given out all their money, while others still have some left. The program’s supporters think it’s important to help people stay in their homes. They say it saves money by preventing homelessness and keeping older people in their homes longer. But, some Republicans in the government were worried about using state money instead of federal money.

Funding Fight Continues: Advocates Vow to Keep Pushing for More Money

However, advocates hope that eventually, the government will agree to help the Whole-Home Repairs program too.
