A Pennsylvania prison inmate who escaped last month was seen driving a stolen van and changed his appearance as he continues to evade authorities in a sprawling manhunt that has lasted a week and a half.
Pennsylvania Prison Inmate Has Escaped
Danelo Cavalcante was the Pennsylvania prison inmate who escaped on the last day of August by “crab-walking” up two exterior brick walls before scaling razor wire and vaulting off a roof.
Moreover, the Pennsylvania prison inmate who escaped was convicted of first-degree murder in August 2021 for killing Deborah Brandao his then-girlfriend, stabbed her in front of her two young children to stop her from telling the police that Cavalcante was wanted for a separate homicide in his home country of Brazil, 6ABC reported.
His escape, sparked a massive search across southeastern Pennsylvania, with schools canceling classes and police urging homeowners in the area to keep their doors and windows locked.
Authorities Saw Danelo Cavalcante In The Phoexniville Area Of Chester County
On Sunday morning, the authorities announced that the Pennsylvania prison inmate had been spotted on a doorbell camera the previous night near Phoenixville, about a 40-minute drive from where he had been seen.
George Bivens the Pennsylvania State Police Lt. Col. stated that the Cavalcante tried to contact someone he had known and previously worked with by speaking through their Ring camera. That person was then at dinner with his family and later called police, Bivens said.
Cavalcante was also seen at his second coworker’s home.
On Sunday, authorities within still doorbell camera images were released that the formerly-bearded Cavalcante was now clean-shaven and was wearing a yellow or green hooded sweatshirt, a black baseball cap, his green prison pants, and white shoes.
Officials also claimed that Cavalcante had been driving a stolen white 2020 Ford Transit van with a refrigeration unit on top. That van was later discovered abandoned behind a barn in East Nantmeal Township, where investigators are now engrossing their ground search.
Bivens that the Pennsylvania prison inmate, Cavalcante is considered an “extremely dangerous” man and that there is still a reward of up to $20,000 for information leading to his capture. Police Are urging everyone to call 911 or the PSP Tipline at 717-562-2987 with information.
