Wisconsin Man Faces $250,000 Bond for Using Missing Wife’s Financial Accounts
In Dodge County, Wisconsin a 42-year-old man Zachariah Rasch has been taken into custody on suspicion of using his estranged wife’s financial accounts following her disappearance, according to the published article of TRUE CRIME NEWS. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office reported that 37-year-old Crystal Rasch was last seen on June 11 and her vehicle was found at her home by her stepmother on June 27. Family members and friends received suspicious Facebook messages from Crystal but they believed these messages were not from her. Further investigation into Crystal’s financial records revealed numerous unauthorized transactions leading officials to suspect her estranged husband Zachariah. According to a criminal complaint reviewed by WISN-TV, Zachariah is accused of purchasing $6,000 worth of items, including gloves, car cleaning supplies and drain and carpet cleaners using Crystal’s card.

Security footage confirmed that he made these purchases alone. Initially Zachariah denied any wrongdoing claiming he and his wife had separate bank accounts. However, when detectives presented surveillance photos he confessed to using her card. Authorities executed a search warrant at Zachariah’s home uncovering $1,800 in a dresser and over $1,300 in a wallet. Zachariah Rasch has been arrested on charges of unauthorized use of an individual’s personal identifying information and is being held in the Dodge County Jail on a $250,000 bond. Meanwhile, Crystal Rasch’s disappearance remains an active missing person investigation and officials continue to search for any leads on her whereabouts.
