City to Pay Back Millions to Remote Workers Who Paid Earnings Taxes

According to Washington Examiner, The city of St. Louis has agreed to give back money to people who worked from home during the pandemic and paid taxes on their earnings. This decision comes after a three-year court battle between the city and six people who were denied refunds.

The city says that people who worked from home in 2020, 2021, and 2022 can get a refund if they file a claim within the next 90 days. The city thinks it will have to pay back around $25 million each year, which is a lot of money.
