Fort Lauderdale Police Department says that early on Saturday morning, an armed man stole a car in downtown Fort Lauderdale and took off with a woman inside. The woman and the automobile were eventually located by the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, but the culprit is still in hiding.

According to Casey Liening, a police spokesperson, Fort Lauderdale Police Department got a complaint concerning a potential kidnapping in the vicinity of the 100 block of Southwest 2nd Avenue just after 5 a.m. 

A guy and a woman were found to be in a car when a shooter approached them, according to the Fort Lauderdale Police Department. The woman in the passenger seat was left behind while the driver fled.

Fort Lauderdale Police Department claimed that the unnamed offender got into the driver’s seat and took off with the vehicle with the victim still inside. 

The woman and her vehicle were discovered shortly by the Fort Lauderdale Police Department on Interstate 95 close to Oakland Park Boulevard. 

Before cops could reach the victim, the Fort Lauderdale Police Department assume that the suspect fled from the vehicle. The precise circumstances of what happened, and the location of the armed carjacker are still under investigation.
