Man Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison for Murder of Girlfriend

California Woman Found Dead in Trash Bag

According to TrueCrimeNews, A man named Joseph Roberts was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison for killing his girlfriend, Rachel Buckner. Her body was found in a trash bag near a bridge in California. The police found Roberts’ DNA on the tape that was used to cover the bag.

The Tragic Fate of Rachel Buckner

Roberts and Buckner had met in law school and were living together in Pleasanton. Despite living with her, Roberts never reported her missing. The judge called this a very bad and disturbing crime. Buckner was a young woman who had just finished law school and was starting her career when she died.
