Friend’s Testimony Leads to Guilty Verdict for McAllister in Robbery Case
According to EastBayTimes, Tyrone McAllister, the son of a former police chief, has been sent to prison for 13 years and 8 months. He was found guilty of stealing something from someone. This happened just hours before he was found not guilty of killing someone.
During his trial, his lawyer told the jury to find him guilty of the theft. The government’s case against him was based on what his friend, Dennis Evans, said happened that night. Evans said that Tyrone and he were trying to steal things from people when Tyrone shot and killed a man. But Tyrone’s lawyer said that he accidentally left his phone in Evans’ car before they went their separate ways.
