According to WPTV, over the past weekend, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and the West Palm Beach Police Department conducted Operation Hot Wheels, aiming to crack down on street racing activities. This effort resulted in the arrest of seven individuals and the issuance of 153 traffic citations. Operating jointly, the law enforcement agencies sought to address the growing concern of illegal street racing within the community taking significant steps to enforce traffic laws and ensure public safety.

Over the course of a crackdown on street racing on Saturday night authorities conducted a total of 147 traffic stops, resulting in 87 citations for speeding or aggressive driving and 28 for criminal traffic violations. Seven individuals were arrested during the operation, facing charges that included reckless driving, driving under the influence, and attempting to evade law enforcement. Among those arrested were Christopher Blasco, Johnathan Emerico Diaz, Lazaro Julio Diaz, Francisco Antonio Marfil, Francis Gabriel Cadena, Israel Kenneth Mcenry, and Romeo Gaspar Felipe. However, the specific locations of the incidents were not provided in the news release.
