A tragic discovery shook the small community of Thomaston, Georgia, as the body of a missing woman, Margret Dubignon, was found inside a suitcase in her closet. The prime suspect in her murder is her live-in boyfriend, Freddrick Durham, who is now in police custody.
In a harrowing turn of events, the Thomaston Police Department responded to a missing person report on Saturday, October 21. Family members had reported that Margret Dubignon, also known as “Mellow Yellow,” had gone missing and hadn’t been seen or heard from since October 19. Concerned relatives also noted that Dubignon’s boyfriend, Freddrick Durham, was absent, and her vehicle was nowhere to be found.
As officers began their investigation, they were called back to the apartment at 109 W. County Road, where the family had made a gruesome discovery. Hidden within a large suitcase in Dubignon’s closet was her lifeless body, positively identified as hers by investigators.
The police believe that Freddrick Durham is responsible for the murder of his girlfriend and subsequently stole her vehicle. An alert was issued for Durham, with law enforcement agencies on the lookout for his whereabouts.
Utilizing a Flock camera system, the authorities successfully tracked Dubignon’s missing vehicle to Atlanta. Within just two hours, the Atlanta Police Department located and apprehended Freddrick Durham, taking him into custody. Durham was transported back to the Thomaston Police Department for questioning.
Currently, Freddrick Durham faces several serious charges, including felony murder, concealing a death, tampering with evidence, and theft by taking a motor vehicle. It’s worth noting that additional charges may be brought against him as the investigation progresses.
