The Russian embassy expressed strong disapproval of the United States’ provision of a $250 million military aid package to Ukraine, encompassing HIMARS artillery rockets, air defense systems, and a variety of ammunition.

According to an article published by MEHR News Agency, the Russian embassy criticized the United States for delivering a military aid package to Ukraine worth $250 million, which includes HIMARS artillery rockets, air defense systems, and various ammunition.

The embassy accused Washington of hypocrisy, alleging that the military aid package to Ukraine was not genuinely aimed at helping Ukraine’s people but rather part of a larger strategy to engage in a proxy war with Russia through Ukrainian forces.

They pointed to former US presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s recent remarks, where he suggested that the US was undermining the Russian military through a military aid package to Ukraine at a relatively low cost, implying a disregard for the lives of citizens in other countries.

In response to this criticism, Russian diplomats argued that the US prioritizes its own interests, including the provision of a military aid package to Ukraine, over the well-being of citizens in other nations.

According to an article published by TASS, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken recently announced the military aid package to Ukraine, which also includes missiles, artillery ammunition, mine-clearing equipment, anti-armor systems, small arms ammunition, and ambulances.

These provisions are sourced from the Pentagon’s stockpiles, and the military aid package to Ukraine has drawn significant international attention.

In essence, the Russian embassy’s statement contends that the US’s military aid package to Ukraine serves ulterior motives, potentially exacerbating tensions with Russia and disregarding the safety and well-being of Ukrainian citizens.

This assertion comes amid growing concerns about the implications of such a military aid package to Ukraine on the regional balance of power.
