Samantha Woll was discovered dead outside her Detroit home on a Saturday morning, with multiple stab wounds and a trail of blood leading to her residence, indicating the likelihood that the crime occurred on the premises. While investigators work tirelessly to uncover the truth behind her untimely death, Chief White addressed the public regarding the ongoing investigation.

“The investigation into the death of Ms. Woll remains ongoing,” Chief White announced. “At this time, however, no evidence has surfaced suggesting that this crime was motivated by antisemitism.” He emphasized the collaborative effort between the Detroit Police Department and the FBI in analyzing the evidence and information gathered during the investigation to piece together the timeline leading to Woll’s demise.

A motive for the deadly attack remains undetermined, and the case has been assigned to the homicide division. Chief White assured the public that those with information relevant to the case are being interviewed, and he urged patience while law enforcement officials continue their work. He emphasized, “Everything that can be done to bring this matter to closure is being called into service.”

Samantha Woll, a 40-year-old leader, had been at the helm of the Isaac Agree Downtown Detroit Synagogue since 2022. She had previously worked for Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin and on the re-election campaign of Attorney General Dana Nessel, both Democrats. The synagogue described her death as “unexpected” in a statement.

Chief White has promised an update on the investigation to be provided on Monday, as the community anxiously awaits answers regarding this tragic event. Police are urging anyone with information related to the crime to contact the Homicide Section at 313-596-2260.

As the investigation continues, the Detroit community is left grappling with the loss of a prominent figure, with authorities working diligently to unravel the circumstances surrounding Samantha Woll’s death.
