Former Mayor Patrick Wojahn of Maryland College Town pleads guilty on Wednesday to 140 child pornography-related charges.
Former Mayor Patrick Wojahn Pleaded Guilty
Patrick Wojahn, former Mayor of Maryland College Town, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to 140 child pornography-related charges against him. The prosecutors told the news outlets that these include child pornography possession and distribution.
In a published article in CNN News, former Mayor Patrick Wojahn pleaded guilty to the following:
- 60 counts of distribution of child pornography
- 40 counts of possession of child pornography
- 40 counts of possession of child pornography with the intention to distribute
Furthermore, the Prince George’s County State’s Attorney’s Office released the official news release on the same day that Patrick Wojahn pleaded guilty.

State Attorney Released a Statement
According to a published article in Albany Herald, Aisha N. Braveboy, the state’s attorney for Prince George’s County, said, “This is a horrific case. I am truly pleased that Mr. Wojahn has pled guilty to and accepted responsibility for his actions and these horrendous crimes.”
It was also found that the investigation began in February after officials received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that someone possessed and distributed child pornographic materials. During the investigation, former Mayor Patrick Wojahn was identified as the primary suspect that shocked the city officials.
