Meet The Sweet Puppy Left On The Streets Still Looking For Love

Sandy Paws Rescue, a committed foster-based dog rescue in Massachusetts, recently presented Canelo, a young six-month-old puppy looking for his forever home.

According to the nonprofit rescue, Canelo’s journey began on the streets of Houston, where he was discovered abandoned with his mother Luna Sunny and siblings Cassy, Lawna, and Zorrillo. These dogs received a second chance at life thanks to the compassion of a local woman who offered to foster them.

Sandy Paws Rescue describes Canelo, a six-month-old puppy, as energetic and cuddly. While he is still working on his house training and crate skills, the rescue notes that he improves on a daily basis.

His loving personality is evident in his habit of showing his stomach to everyone he meets. “Canelo will make an excellent addition to any family because he is a sweet and friendly boy,” says Sandy Paws Rescue.

Sandy Paws Rescue Inc. is committed to finding the ideal home for Canelo, where he will feel secure, loved, and treasured for years to come.

Sandy Paws Rescue is a charity rescue in Massachusetts dedicated to saving dogs like Canelo and giving them a second opportunity by finding them a forever home.

Sandy Paws Rescue elaborates on their mission: “rescue dogs from various shelters, cruelty situations, owner surrenders in Massachusetts, and strays from Texas, North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.” They do not have a shelter, so all of their dogs are fostered in private foster homes or kennels until they find their forever homes.

Sandy Paws Rescue is entirely volunteer-run, with the majority of volunteers working full-time jobs outside of the rescue. They state, “our only personal gain, is from seeing our dogs placed in wonderful homes.

Sandy Paws Rescue operates solely on donations to the charity rescue. Running a dog rescue costs money, from transporting them from one state to another to paying all medical bills, food, and other expenses. “Our adoption fees do not cover the amount that we spend on our puppies/dogs to vet and transport them,” Sandy Paws Rescue adds.

Sandy Paws Rescue Inc. requires that anyone interested in adopting must submit an application to them. As a foster-based rescue based in Massachusetts, they don’t have a shelter location, and visits with dogs are by appointment only.

Their dogs reside in private homes or kennels until adoption. Please note that at this time, Sandy Paws Rescue Inc. is only adopting to those living in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and some areas in Connecticut.
