Police say one individual died as a result of a stabbing in Yonkers overnight. Police discovered the 38-year-old with several stab wounds at 1:30 a.m. at the entryway to 2 Hudson Street.
A preliminary inquiry found that the victim and another man were fighting when the suspect pulled out a bladed instrument and stabbed the victim. The suspect then fled shortly after.
The person was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead. His identity has not been revealed. Police believe the attack was targeted, but one Yonkers resident believes safety should always come first.
The tragic stabbing closed Hudson Street for more than 12 hours, making the New Year’s Day commute difficult for residents across the city.”
