Biden Administration Unveils New Student Debt Relief Plan
30 Million Borrowers to Benefit from Latest Efforts to Address Student Loan Crisis
According to scrippsnews, The Biden administration has made a new plan to help Americans who owe money for college. This plan will help around 30 million people. The plan is important because many people are struggling to pay back their college loans. The government wants to help these people by forgiving some or all of their debt.
The plan is different from what the government originally wanted to do. The Supreme Court said no to the original plan, which would have forgiven up to $20,000 in debt. But the government found other ways to help people. They changed the way some loans are paid back, and they also helped 946,000 people who work in public service.

The government is sending emails to people who owe money and telling them they can opt out of the plan by August 30. The government will tell more about the plan later this fall once all the rules are set.
