Spirit Airlines New Fare Bundles Unveiled

Starting August 16, Spirit Airlines will offer new bundled fare options, though some features will not be available until August 27. The new fare bundles are:

  • Go Big: This bundle includes Spirit’s renowned Big Front Seats, free snacks and beverages (including alcoholic drinks), one checked and one carry-on bag, priority check-in and boarding, and free Wi-Fi. However, free onboard refreshments and priority check-in won’t be available until August 27.
  • Go Comfy: This new fare option guarantees a blocked middle seat, a checked and carry-on bag, priority boarding, a snack, and a non-alcoholic drink. This new onboard and airport experience will also be available starting August 27.
  • Go Savvy: This bundle includes a choice of one checked or one carry-on bag as part of the ticket price and will be available for purchase from August 16.
  • Go: Spirit will continue to offer its unbundled fares under the “Go” branding, allowing passengers to buy any add-ons for an additional charge.

Updated Boarding and Check-in Process

Spirit Airlines is also overhauling its boarding process starting August 27. The new system will feature five boarding groups, including priority boarding for travelers who have booked Go Big or Go Comfy fares. Some elite frequent flyer program members, Free Spirit World Elite Mastercard holders, and active-duty military members will also benefit from priority boarding. This new boarding process is designed to reduce overall boarding time and improve the airline’s on-time performance.

Commitment to Customer Satisfaction

Priority check-in will also become available on August 27 for travelers with a Go Big fare, gold elite members in the Free Spirit frequent flyer program, and Free Spirit World Elite Mastercard holders. Initially, this service will be offered at select airports, including Atlanta, Dallas-Fort Worth, Fort Lauderdale, New York (LGA), Newark, and Orlando.
