According to news, On Tuesday, volunteers at the Bedford Sherwood Oaks Christian Church came together to help distribute food to those in need through the Hoosier Hills Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry. Among them was Sheri House, who has been volunteering at the church for a year and has been actively involved in the effort. She was one of many helping hands that made the event a success.
The mobile food bank serves Orange, Martin, and Lawrence counties every month, providing families with essential groceries, including milk, produce, and meat. The organization also offers special boxes for seniors 65 and older who qualify. Sandy Sherrill, another volunteer, oversees the distribution and ensures that every family receives a box packed with food staples. The mobile food bank operates on a regular schedule, with different locations and times each month.

The Hoosier Hills Food Bank Mobile Pantry visits several locations each month. In Bedford, you can get your groceries on the 4th Tuesday of every month from 4-6 p.m. at the Sherwood Oaks Christian Church. Other locations include Shoals, Orleans, and Mitchell. This schedule helps families in need plan ahead and get the food they need.
