One person was hospitalized after being injured at a convenience shop in North Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Douglas County authorities responded to a man’s injuries at a North Omaha convenience shop.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said Saturday morning that a 71-year-old man was discovered unconscious at a convenience store at 72nd Street and Bennington Road.

DCSO deputies on the scene deployed a defibrillator, and the Irvington Fire Department transported the guy to Immanuel Hospital.

The nature of the man’s injuries was unknown, thus a criminal investigation scene was set up.

After reviewing the security camera footage, deputies determined that the man arrived alone around 12:51 a.m., fell from his vehicle, and was later discovered by staff when the business opened.

DCSO did not divulge the man’s identity, but stated that he was rushed to the hospital in severe condition.

Foul play is not suspected.
