OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) -The Omaha Fire Department responded to a structure fire in South Omaha on Saturday morning.
According to an OFD release, the fire broke out around 4 a.m. on Saturday in a warehouse near 102nd and I streets.
When crews arrived, they discovered a fire in a recycling business.
According to the announcement, the fire was difficult to put out because of the “large amount of smoldering cardboard” within the facility.
The reason was found to be unintentional.
The entire loss was estimated at $55,000.
