Suttler Post Farm Hosts Record-Breaking Holiday Open House Benefiting Hospice Of St. Mary’s

MECHANICSVILLE, Md. — Suttler Post Farm welcomed over 2,700 visitors for its Sixth Annual Holiday Open House on Dec. 14 and 15, raising funds to support much-needed upgrades to the Hospice House of St. Mary’s in Callaway.

The event, which featured Southern Maryland’s only six-horse hitch of Clydesdales, offered guests the opportunity to enjoy farm tours, more than 20 vendors, food trucks, raffles, a bake sale, and a special appearance by the iconic Budweiser Clydesdales.

“The 6th Annual Holiday Open House to benefit Hospice of St. Mary’s County was a resounding success,” said event organizer Dany Mast. “This year, numbers in both attendance and funds raised were doubled — proving that the community’s generosity knows no bounds.”

Mast credited the event’s success to the support of local sponsors, including Guy Distributing, whose partnership brought the Budweiser Clydesdales to the event. Volunteers and staff also played a key role, working tirelessly to prepare the farm for the two-day celebration.

Visitors were encouraged to participate in raffle activities, including a 50/50 drawing, with all proceeds benefitting the Hospice House of St. Mary’s.

The farm, home to eight Clydesdale geldings, has hosted the annual open house for six years, creating a tradition of holiday cheer and philanthropy in Southern Maryland.

Planning for the Seventh Annual Holiday Open House is already underway, promising another year of festive fun and community support.
