Former NCAA Star, Jamie Cavey Lang Is Survived By Her Husband Mike And Three Kids Vincent, Bennett And Sydney


Jamie Cavey Lang passed away on December 21, 2024, at the age of 41, following a long battle with cancer.

Jamie Cavey-Lang was a former Iowa women’s basketball player and radio analyst. Moreover, she also worked as director of assessment and analytics at the University of Iowa Pomerantz Career Center.

Lang was an Iowa Women’s Basketball team member from 2001 to 2005. Later, she played professional basketball in Europe.

She was a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and two-time All-Big Ten selection. She finished her Hawkeye career with 1,265 points, 927th in program history, and 506 rebounds.

According to the Facebook account of Jamie Cavey Lang’s husband, Michael Lang, he studied history at Buena Vista University and later went to the University of Minnesota Duluth.

Moreover, Jamie and Michael met each other around 2014. On April 28, 2014, Jamie posted their first pictures together on her social media account.

Furthermore, Michael has been an incredible partner of her since their relationship began in 2014. Later, after about four years of dating, the couple tied the wedding knot.

Along with her professional proficiency, Jamie was a responsible mother to her three children, Vincent, Bennett, and Sydney.

As of 2024, her son Vinny is in 1st grade, her son Bennett joined kindergarten, and her daughter Sydney is a preschooler.

Jamie shared a lovely note about her children’s chosen future career on her Instagram account. She wrote,

Cavey Lang passed away on December 21, 2024, at 41, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy.

She lost her life following a battle with cancer, leaving her family devastated.
