An Ohio woman has been accused of fatally stabbing her father in a tragic incident that occurred this weekend in Newark. According to a post by Licking County Sheriff Randy Thorp on Facebook, deputies responded to a call reporting a stabbing at a residence on Parana Drive around 2 p.m. on Saturday. Upon arrival, authorities discovered 75-year-old Nick Neagos on the front porch of the home with multiple stab wounds. Despite immediate medical attention, Neagos was pronounced dead at the scene.
Daughter Found with Injuries
Sheriff Thorp’s post revealed that the suspect, 47-year-old April Neagos, was found walking on the street nearby with stab wounds of her own. She was promptly transported to a local hospital for treatment, though her current condition has not been disclosed. Preliminary investigations suggest that April Neagos stabbed her father multiple times before inflicting wounds on herself.

The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) has taken over the case, but as of Saturday, no motive for the stabbing has been revealed. According to Sheriff Thorp’s Facebook update, April Neagos is anticipated to face murder charges. The BCI is expected to provide more details as their investigation progresses.
