When does SSI come out in August?

Typically, the U.S. government sends out an SSI check on the first of the month. This is also the case in August: Beneficiaries can expect regular SSI payments on Thursdays. However, the payment will be made on August 30.

Because the regular SSI payment date falls on Sunday in September this year. If the payment falls on a weekend or holiday, the Social Security Institution will move the payment date to the previous business day. In 2024, it will be Friday, August 30.
