31-Year-Old Savannah Miller Charged with Murder in Reed City Infant Injury Case

The woman Savannah Miller who was babysitting the child reportedly had ordered 10 mini Fireball whiskey shooters while caring for Renzi. Miller who had recently stopped drinking told authorities that her memory of the evening was “blurry.” She initially claimed that the infant’s injuries were caused by falls from a bed and a kitchen counter but investigators have charged her with first-degree child abuse, second-degree child abuse, felony murder and second-degree murder after her story unraveled. Miller’s sister has publicly criticized her describing her as “narcissistic, conniving and evil,” and expressed a hope that Miller will receive the maximum sentence for her actions. This tragic case has shocked the community and raised serious concerns about the safety and well-being of vulnerable children under the care of those with a history of substance abuse and violence.
