Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., urged on Sunday for a road to legalization for thousands of illegal immigrants, suggesting that Vice President Kamala Harris is the candidate who can “get it completed.”
Warren delivered the statement throughout a Sunday morning interview on CNN’s “State of the Union” with anchor Jake Tapper. Tapper challenged her to justify the Biden-Harris administration’s extremely negative immigration policy.
“I am not required to tell you that voters massively oppose how the Biden-Harris administration managed the border,” Tapper remarked. Aren’t Democrats pushing down on one of their party’s major problems by nominating one of the border effort’s administrators?
“Border crossings have become less frequent than this time previous year during the Trump administration. But realize – and I think Kamala Harris does – that this issue must eventually be resolved by Congress,” Warren said.
“We require the means to have additional funds at the border, as well as in the states and communities that help migrants. And I think we should establish an approach to citizenship. All of this is part of whatever we have to do to achieve comprehensive reform of immigration. “Kamala Harris is going to work with Congress to get this done,” she continued.
During his campaign, former President Donald Trump stressed illegal immigration. Throughout the Biden presidency, border crossings reached previously unknown numbers on numerous occasions.
Trump’s primary opponent, Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, charged Harris of demanding nationality for illegal immigrants during a campaign event in Minnesota on Saturday.
Worse of all, Kamala Harris will gladly undermine every safeguard we have in place to keep them from voting,” Vance stated at a rally in Minnesota on Saturday. “She wants to give the sovereignty of our country to individuals who should not be here in the very first place. And we can’t allow her. And I’ve got a message for the billions of illegal aliens who don’t belong to this nation. If you’re here, start packing your luggage right now since Donald J. Trump is returning to office.
