“Florida Lawyer’s $1 Million Donation to Fire Chief- After Trump Rally Tragedy Shocks Nation”

Florida lawyer Dan Newlin is the contributor who was acknowledged by President Trump on Thursday night through his Republican National Convention (RNC) speech for giving $1 million to the loved ones of the individual who was killed after a Trump rally.

The family members of 50-year-old resigned fire chief Corey Comperatore, who was shot while defending his spouse and daughter throughout Trump’s attempted killing this past Saturday at an event in Butler, Pennsylvania, received the seven-figure payment, a representative for Newlin stated to FOX Business.

Before acknowledging the contributions to a GoFundMe he approved, Trump remembered Comperatore and the 2 additional casualties of the shooting who were severely wounded. James Copenhaver, 70, and David Dutch, 57, were also honored throughout his speech on Thursday.

“I am thrilled to announce that, with the help of a buddy of mine, we have earned $6.3 million for the loved ones of David, James, and Corey in the last few days. I just got $1 million here on the spot,” Trump declared, displaying a check. “From Dan Newlin, thank you so much, Dan.”

Trump underlined that no sum of money might make up for Copenhaver and Dutch’s wounds or Comperatore’s death. Then, in Comperatore’s honor, he maintained a moment of silence.

After an assault on the life of former President Donald Trump this past Saturday at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, several tech leaders, including Elon Musk of X, Tesla, and SpaceX, formally backed him. A former fire chief named Corey Comperatore, 50 had been shot and murdered when he protected his family from the shot that wounded Trump.

Snipers with the Secret Service shot and killed the gunman, 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks.

According to The Hill, several previous Democratic donors, such as Shaun Maguire of Sequoia Capital and Palantir advisor Jacob Helberg, have supported Trump. Based on Reuters, Trump is receiving support from venture entrepreneurs Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz in the presidential contest.
