Get Your Missing Tax Refund: Minnesota Government Reissues Uncashed Checks
According to Marca, The Minnesota government has sent out some money to people who didn’t cash their tax rebate checks last year. They sent the checks to the addresses where they thought the people lived and the checks will now be good for two years. This happened because they originally sent out almost $1 billion to over 2 million people in August, September, November, and December.
To get this money, you had to live in Minnesota for some or all of last year and file your taxes by a certain date. Your income also had to be below a certain amount, depending on if you were filing alone or with a partner. You also couldn’t have been claimed as someone else’s dependent on their taxes.
