In Georgia, two kids have been taken into custody after 8-year-old N. Bush died. The young boy who lost his life in a hole filled with water at a construction site in May was allegedly pushed into the water by two of his friends and now faces charges of involuntary manslaughter and other related criminal charges.
The whole thing went down on May 15, 2024, when Bush’s family reported him missing. It wasn’t until about 11 hours later that his body was found and the whole thing was over. At first, local authorities didn’t suspect anything foul play, saying Bush had taken off his shoes and entered a marked area with a “no trespassing” sign.
But things took a turn when the autopsy came back and showed Bush died from drowning as a homicide. The sheriff’s office investigation found the 11-year-old with Bush had pushed him into the deeper part of the water hole and he drowned to death. The two underage boys were taken into custody; the 11-year-old faces charges of involuntary manslaughter, concealing another person’s death, simple battery, and criminal trespass, and the 10-year-old faces concealing a crime and criminal trespass.
Bush’s death has the community in an uproar and his family and residents are urging for justice and accountability. Lawyers for Bush’s family say the minors may have intentionally submerged Bush’s head underwater after an argument. It’s reported Bush was familiar with both boys and considered them friends.
