Las Vegas, NV – In the early hours of Wednesday morning, tragedy struck in downtown Las Vegas as a homeless man in his 60s fell victim to a fatal shooting. The incident occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m. on the 800 block of South 6th Street, sparking an investigation by the Metropolitan Police Department.
According to Lt. Jason Johannson, officers responded to reports of the shooting and found the man bleeding from his wounds upon arrival. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Details surrounding the shooting remain unclear, with authorities stating that a white man, dressed in a light shirt and blue jeans, was observed leaving the area at the time of the incident.
