Becquer, who operated Love and Caring for People, LLC, faces serious allegations ranging from preventing clients from seeking medical attention to misusing their debit cards without consent. The Arlington Police Department’s investigations revealed a harrowing tale of mistreatment and exploitation within the unlicensed group home.

According to reports, clients were subjected to appalling conditions, with some allegedly confined to sleeping on mattresses on the floor and left in soiled diapers for days. Shockingly, one victim resorted to self-harm in a desperate bid to escape, cutting her wrists after repeated pleas to leave reportedly went unanswered.

The investigation uncovered a disturbing pattern of abuse and neglect, with caretakers purportedly physically assaulting clients and withholding essential medical care. Police noted that all caretakers were either related to Becquer or involved with her family members, and none held valid medical licenses.

Authorities have identified multiple potential victims across five properties linked to Love and Caring for People, LLC, located in Arlington, Mansfield, and Grand Prairie, Texas. Victims rescued from these homes required emergency medical attention due to severe malnourishment.

While Becquer has been arrested on one count of abandoning/endangering an individual, police suspect additional victims and are pursuing further charges. The case has prompted a broader investigation to ensure no victims fall through the cracks of the system.

As Arlington Chief of Police Al Jones remarked, “We’ve learned about some very concerning things occurring within these homes, and we want to ensure that no victims are falling through the cracks.”

Becquer remains detained in the Tarrant County Corrections Center on a bond set at $750,000 as authorities continue their inquiries into this distressing case of abuse and exploitation within the vulnerable community.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the critical need for oversight and regulation within facilities catering to individuals with disabilities, highlighting the importance of safeguarding the rights and well-being of all members of society.
