Richard Simmons is providing an update on his health. Just a day after raising questions with a mysterious Instagram post, the American fitness model revealed his diagnosis.
Diagnosed With Skin Cancer
“This odd-looking lump under my right eye,” he said on Facebook on March 19. “I used to put on a tube of neosporin in the morning and evening, and it was still there. I needed to give my dermatologist a call.”
Richard then went on to describe how he saw his doctor and how he was told he had skin cancer. He went on, “He mentioned basal cell carcinoma.” “I asked him to quit referring to me negatively. He chuckled.
After becoming well-known as an aerobics hero in the late 1980s, Richard has mostly faded from the public eye. He gave a thorough account of the day he was diagnosed, including what looked like a curettage and electrodesiccation operation—a surgery that involves removing skin growths.
He Is Not Dying
However, as Richard mentioned, he is still receiving treatment. “After driving around the city, I went back to some sad news,” he said. “I didn’t fully express myself. Once more, he burnt my face. This time, it went deeper and was worse than the last. This time, I gritted my teeth but refrained from crying. “Please return in one and a half hours.”
The 75-year-old’s health update was released a day after he raised supporters’ concerns by implying in another Facebook post that he was “dying”. Later, he clarified the meaning of his initial statement.
He stressed, “I am not dying,” in a Facebook post dated March 18. It conveyed the idea that we ought to cherish each day that we are given. I apologize for the confusion.
