Three undocumented immigrants from Guatemala have been apprehended by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office following accusations of sexually assaulting a woman. The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, in a residential vicinity near John Prince Park, just west of Interstate 95.
According to reports, the victim was forcibly taken into a vehicle before being sexually battered at two separate locations. Fortunately, she managed to escape and seek assistance from a passerby, leading to the apprehension of the suspects.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Andres Felipe Morales, 29; Darinel Ordonez Jjimenez, 30; and Marcos Felipe Ramirez, 31. They were taken into custody around 7 p.m. on Monday and subsequently booked into the Palm Beach County jail.
Felipe Morales faces charges of sexual assault and false imprisonment, while the other two suspects are being held on two counts of felony criminal conspiracy. Each individual has had bond set at $200,000, with their next court appearance scheduled for April 10.
Residents in the area expressed shock and concern following the incident. Alyssa Suarez, who was present in the vicinity, described the area as typically tranquil, while Lauren Theesen voiced worries about the safety of her children playing outdoors.
