Nickelodeon’s Coach Doing: The Unveiling of Drake Bell’s Past
The Truth Behind Curtains
Drake Bell is talking about a horrific time in history. The former Nickelodeon employee has acknowledged that he is the youngster who was not named but was involved in Brian Peck‘s 2004 sexual assault conviction. Peck worked for the network, coaching accents and acting for the second season of “All That.”
Dan Schneider, renowned for his severe working conditions on Nickelodeon series including “All That,” “The Amanda Show,” “Zoey 101,” “iCarly,” and “Victorious,” revealed Bell’s tale in a new documentary for Investigation Discovery titled “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.” In the documentary, Bell reveals—as reported by Today—that the assault occurred at Peck’s home some months after the acting coach grew close to the young star and turned Bell against his father, who had supposedly informed the network he was concerned about Peck.
“I think Brian got a sense that my dad was on the watch,” Bell added, alluding to Peck’s worries that Bell’s father might be detrimental to Bell’s professional prospects. “And so, he started to drive a wedge between my dad and me. “Soon afterward, Peck is claimed to have turned Bell’s mother against her ex-husband; hence, Peck was the one who transported the teenage Bell to and from auditions and sets.
According to the “Drake and Josh” alum, this meant that Bell regularly spent the night at Peck’s house because it was too far for him to travel back to his Orange County home on certain late evenings. in Brian, “Everything changed with one morning,” Bell said. “I knew that my life would be absolutely, completely different from that point on.” “I was sleeping on the couch where I usually sleep and I woke up to him…I opened my eyes, I woke up and he was sexually assaulting me,” he said. “And I froze and was in complete shock and had no idea what to do or how to react.”
The 37-year-old, speaking to Today, proceeds to recount how the attack went on for months, leaving Bell feeling “trapped” and with “no way out,” until one day he “just exploded” while on the phone with his mother. He said, “I have no idea what provoked it.” “I have no idea what happened. But I just screamed into the phone everything happening to me.”

Sexual Abuse Case: A Person Who is Responsible Must Go to Jail!
In August 2003, following his mother’s police report, Peck was placed under arrest. Based on court documents that saw Peck entered a no-contest plea to two counts of indecent behavior with a child aged 14 or 15 by an adult 10 years older, and oral copulation of a person under the age of 16. Ultimately, the sixty-three-year-old was made to register as a sexual offender and served almost a year in jail.
News has reached out to Peck and Nickelodeon for comments; however, Nickelodeon has provided NBC News with a statement. News has not yet heard back from anybody. “Now that Drake Bell has disclosed his identity as the plaintiff in the 2004 case,” the news organization said, “we are dismayed and saddened to learn of the trauma he has endured, and we commend and support the strength required to come forward.” Schneider’s representative told E! previously about the charges the 58-year-old faced, which were discussed in the series. Concerned about the children on his show was News Schneider.
“He understood what they were going through and he was their biggest champion,” said the statement. “Many of the kids on these shows are put in the untenable position of becoming the breadwinner for their family and the pressure that comes along with that.”
It went on, “Add on top of that the difficulties of growing up and having to do so under the spotlight while working a demanding job, all as a child. That is why there are many levels of standards, executives, lawyers, teachers, and parents everywhere, all the time, on every set, every day. However, it is still a hard place to be a kid and nobody knew that better than Dan.”
