The Social Security Administration (SSA) has announced that millions of Americans will receive their Social Security retirement or disability payments in the upcoming month of March. The payments will be disbursed on specific dates depending on the beneficiaries’ birthdates.
According to the SSA, payments will be made on the last three Wednesdays of March, which are March 13, 20, and 27. The date of payment is determined by the beneficiary’s birthdate range.
Those who were born on the first ten days of the month will receive their payments on March 13. Individuals born between the 11th and 20th of the month will receive payments on March 20. Lastly, beneficiaries born between the 21st and 31st of the month will receive their payments on March 27.
It’s important to note that eligibility for these payments is for retirees or SSDI beneficiaries who started receiving Social Security benefits after or in May 1997. Payments are not applicable for those who began receiving benefits before May 1997.
The SSA advises beneficiaries to keep track of their payment dates based on their birthdates to ensure timely receipt of their Social Security payments.
With this announcement, many Americans can look forward to the much-needed financial support provided by the Social Security Administration in the coming weeks.
