Road Rage Escalates into Terrifying Assault
Physical Assault and Threats Heighten the Horror
According to True Crime Daily, in a disturbing incident on February 28th, an 18-year-old driver and his 15-year-old sister found themselves in a harrowing situation after a road rage altercation. This road rage horror unfolded as they drove along Buford Dam and Old Shadburn Ferry Roads, where they reportedly exchanged hand gestures with another motorist, identified as Duane Sudderth. Sudderth, driving a blue pickup truck then allegedly began aggressively tailing the victim’s vehicle and attempted to force him off the road.
The situation escalated when the victim turned onto a private driveway only for Sudderth to follow suit and block their path. Exiting his truck, Sudderth allegedly proceeded to physically assault the victim, repeatedly striking him in the face through the car window. Adding to this road rage horror, Sudderth reportedly made threats of sexual assault directed towards the victim’s sister, mistaking her for his girlfriend in the heat of the altercation. The incident has prompted an investigation by law enforcement into the alleged assault and threats made by Sudderth.

Victim’s Account Strengthens Case Against Aggressive Driver
Following the disturbing road rage horror, the victim recounted further details of the assault stating that Duane Sudderth continued to attack him after he exited the car, resulting in the victim losing consciousness. Upon regaining consciousness, the victim promptly contacted law enforcement to report the incident.
Utilizing surveillance footage from a Flock Safety camera system, police were able to identify Sudderth as the owner of the blue pickup truck involved in the altercation. Subsequently, officers visited Sudderth’s residence on Sunday, March 3rd, and placed him under arrest. Sudderth faces multiple charges, including aggravated battery, two counts of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, first-degree cruelty to children, third-degree cruelty to children, entering auto and aggressive driving. Authorities have stated that he is currently being held without bond pending further legal proceedings.
