Humble, Texas – In a tragic incident, a convenience store clerk lost his life after an altercation with two suspects over a stolen bag of chips in the Houston area. The Humble Police Department is currently on the lookout for the two assailants responsible for the fatal shooting.
The incident unfolded on Friday night when surveillance footage captured two suspects entering the store and allegedly swiping a bag of chips. The store clerk confronted the suspects, prompting them to flee. Undeterred, the clerk pursued them out of the store, only to face a deadly confrontation.
According to authorities, the clerk entered his own vehicle and chased the suspects. During the pursuit, one of the suspects fired gunshots at the worker, fatally striking him. The clerk was later found dead in his car from a gunshot wound.
The victim, a man in his 40s, had been employed at the store for a relatively short period, having worked there for about three to four months.
The two suspects, both believed to be Black men aged between 18 and 25, were captured on surveillance wearing black hooded sweatshirts and jeans. Both fled the scene, with one heading towards nearby railroad tracks and the other towards a nearby freeway. As of now, both suspects remain at large.
Humble police emphasized that the suspects could face capital murder charges for their involvement in the fatal shooting. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward and contact the Humble Police Department.
