Wilcox County secured the second position, with 3,820 taxpayers enjoying average refunds of $3,472. Dallas County, with 13,340 taxpayers, received an average refund of $3,460. Lowndes County, Clarke County, and Hale County also experienced substantial Alabama state tax refunds, with 4,110, 8,630, and 5,540 taxpayers respectively receiving refunds ranging from $3,279 to $3,460.
